Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using mycarvaluecheck.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Description of Service

My Car Value Check is a free, browser-based car depreciation calculator and educational resource operated by QuickCalcs. The Service provides estimated vehicle values based on user-supplied information and aggregated industry data. All calculations are performed client-side in the user's browser.

3. Not a Substitute for Professional Appraisal

The estimates provided by the Service are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not, and should not be relied on as, a substitute for a professional vehicle appraisal, formal market valuation, or financial advice. For binding valuations — for insurance settlements, loan applications, tax filings, legal disputes, or sale negotiations — you should consult Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds, NADA Guides, a licensed appraiser, or another qualified professional.

4. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the depreciation estimates will match any specific market price you encounter when buying or selling a vehicle.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickCalcs and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes — but is not limited to — financial losses incurred from buying, selling, trading, or insuring a vehicle based on estimates provided by the calculator.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the Service's content without permission.
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any other person or entity.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the calculator beyond what is publicly visible in your browser.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on the Service — including written articles, the depreciation model, page layouts, and visual design — is the property of QuickCalcs and is protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with attribution, but you may not republish full articles or substantial portions of the depreciation model without prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites such as Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds, or government tax resources. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy. Following a third-party link is at your own risk.

9. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and possibly other ad networks. We do not control the specific ads shown and do not endorse the advertised products or services. Clicking on an ad takes you to a third-party site governed by its own terms and policies.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which QuickCalcs operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that state.
